Is there an administrative or processing fee?
A portion of each gift is allocated to support fundraising, donor engagement, and other efforts. Gifts made to faculty research funds incur a 10.5% research administrative fee. This is allocated to cover costs to the fund's administering unit, the central campus units involved in research administration, and future research via the Berkeley Futures Fund and Cost Sharing Fund. Gifts made via credit card are also subject to a 2.5% credit card processing fee.
