Cal Japan Club (CJC) unites Japanese, Japanese-American, and all students passionate about Japanese culture and language, offering a unique mix of social, cultural, and career-focused opportunities. Guided by our goal of fostering meaningful connections, we strive to create an inclusive space for networking and growth. Through events ranging from intimate gatherings to professional workshops, our Social and Career Teams work to strengthen our community and support members in their personal and professional journeys.

Bay Area Japanese Exchange

Our signature event, the Bay Area Japanese Exchange, takes place each spring and brings together students, professionals, and community members from the Bay Area. With around 100 participants, the event provides a platform for exploring academic interests, career opportunities, and hobbies while fostering meaningful connections beyond campus. The funds raised will support this event, helping us create an ideal space for connection, cultural exchange, and building lasting relationships within the Japanese community in the Bay Area.

Use of Funds

We plan to use the funds for our Bay Area Japanese Exchange event in April, primarily to offset catering expenses, which are our largest cost. Even if we don’t reach our goal, all contributions will go directly toward supporting the event.
