UC Berkeley’s Academic Talent Development Program (ATDP) offers challenging summer classes for high achieving and motivated young scholars.
At ATDP, we believe ALL highly motivated and prepared students should have the opportunity to pursue their academic passions and engage with high quality and rigorous coursework. Stemming from this belief, ATDP has awarded 20 full-ride Pathway Scholarships since its launch in 2021. This year, the Pathway Scholarship program has been revamped to focus on Secondary Division students applying for in-person courses. We are excited to roll out this change because it will allow us to offer more in-person mentorship, community, and academic skill building to Pathway Scholars over the summer.
This year we hope to provide AT LEAST 10 more Pathway Scholarships!
“I didn’t think I was a smart person […] but once I was in it, I put in a lot of effort! I learned a lot about new topics and the class was really fun. […] Everyone was respectful and open-minded and you could speak your mind.”
