Support Southeast Asian Students at Cal!

Dear Friend,

We sincerely thank you for considering a donation to the Southeast Asian Student Coalition (SASC) at UC Berkeley. Your support is invaluable and directly impacts our ability to empower aspiring Southeast Asian students and celebrate our diverse cultures.

About SASC

In 2000, SASC initially focused on the refugee experience, aiming to unite individuals bound by the historical context of the American Wars in Southeast Asia. We strive to preserve this space of growth and inclusivity. Together, our goal is to foster a space to explore Southeast Asian American identity and culture. As a coalition, we unite and empower our communities by addressing the social injustices, economic inequalities, and political under-representation our communities may face.

Your generous contribution will help us continue these programs and initiatives that enrich the campus community and foster unity.

Each year, it costs us $31,454.90 to run SASC, which supports:

  • Approximately 450 students through events like SEASO, SEASgiving, SEACF, and SEAGrad.
  • Around 30 high school seniors who are low-income and underrepresented, assisting them through our outreach programs.
  • About 300 alumni, ensuring they remain connected and supported within our community.
  • 27 graduating seniors through cap and gown reimbursements, alleviating financial burdens during this significant milestone.

We generously ask you to make a donation and join us in making a permanent positive impact on the lives of many students.

SASC thanks you again for your thoughtful consideration!
