NEW GOAL: $3,000!

Thank you to all the generous donors and the incredible support for our campaign  

We hope to keep the momentum going and raise $3,000 to expand our outreach efforts to temporary shelters in SF and enable our members to attend conference at a lower cost. Thank you!

The UC Berkeley SWE section strives to support the next generation of women and non-binary engineers by: 

1. Providing professional development resources and networking opportunities to help students navigate the start of their careers.

2. Leading outreach programs for local K-12 students, geared especially towards underrepresented youth, to help them learn more about STEM.

3. Organizing STEM advocacy and inclusion workshops, encouraging both women and non-binary engineers and allies to fight for an equitable workplace.

We hope to use the funds raised to further support our multitude of outreach efforts throughout the year, and secondly for the WE National and Local Conferences hosted by the National SWE organization.

If we meet our goal, this project will allow us to expand our impact by bringing STEM outreach activities directly to more students and communities. It will also create additional opportunities for our own collegiate members through networking events, conferences, and industry partnerships while supporting internal initiatives that promote advocacy, equity, leadership development, and community building within our organization. All estimates are rough only, and actual expenditures may vary.
All funds will go towards the material fees for K-12 outreach efforts and support for our members to attend the annual WE Conferences. Any amount helps!

Regardless of whether we meet our fundraising goal, we are committed to carrying out the mission of SWE in our many different programs. Any funds raised will be used to support project materials, activities, and outreach efforts, allowing us to expand our impact and enhance the experience for participants.
