There are 6 days left on our 2023 Fall Crowdfunding!
With your help, we are one step closer to finishing Excalibur. We want to thank you for your support throughout the past years of CalSol! The production of Excalibur is coming to an end. We are expecting Excalibur to start running within a few months and have it test drive through California. Excalibur is anticipated to be the fastest and the most efficient vehicle that CalSol has manufactured with its carbon fiber monocoque chassis and low coefficient of drag. We will be unveiling the car very soon to the public! Here is a sneak peek of Excalibur.

Success! Thanks to you and people like you, CalSol raised more money than any other project on Berkeley Crowdfunding this year, amounting to 121% of our goal. This will be very helpful in getting us to Australia next fall! Thank you. We are already working on perks. Also, don't forget: your donation is tax deductible!
Go bears!
With the help of all of this year's donors, we have now raised more money than we did last year! Thank you so much! We're not quite to our goal yet, but I think this qualifies as a victory anyway.
Also today, we took Zephyr on a road test around the Richmond area to train new members on driving. This photo is from one of our stage stops.
Tachyon is progressing well! The car we will bring to the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is currently being constructed. Here you can see our members Eric Lu and Richard Vu using a large LED lamp to inspect one of Tachyon’s top molds for defects. Once completed, this mold will be used to shape large carbon fiber sheets and honeycomb core material to form the top half of Tachyon’s shell. The top shell will then be joined to the bottom half, which is already completed.
In other news, there are now fewer than two weeks left to donate to our campaign! Chip in today with a donation to help us make it to Australia, or if you've already donated, share our campaign with your friends! Thank you.
