Our Crowdfunding Groups
Cal Men’s Water Polo Club is a competitive team here at Cal comprised of current undergraduate students. Our goal is to provide a team for students who might not have the ability or time to play for the varsity team but still want to continue to play water polo in competitive environment. Our club has become a big part of college life for many of the students who play on our team, as our team often gets together outside of the pool.
Our team has finished in the top 10 at nationals five years in a row now including two second place finishes and two third place finishes. We have never lost our regional championships, which is composed of six different teams from the Pacific Northwest, continue the trend. If we do finish first in our region again this year, we will travel to the National tournament and compete for first place. To prepare for nationals, we have dedicated 5 nights in the pool to practices and are always getting together on non-practice days to lift, swim, or engage in team bonding activities.
Any donations we receive will go directly towards assisting our team in our goal to win a national championship and thus come together as scholar athletes and teammates. After coming so close to bringing home the title so many years in a row, we are more motivated than ever and will not let anything get in our way. Because of the fact that we are a club team, most of our expenses, including gear, tournament fees, and travel, are paid for out of pocket. This means that whatever amount you can afford to donate to our team will be greatly appreciated and will help us pay for more water polo balls to practice with, weight belts to train with, and hotel rooms to sleep in while we are competing away from home. We are hoping that our dedication coupled with whatever support that you can provide will give us that final push we need to propel us past these third and second place finishes and finally bring home the title.

Our Budget allocations for all donations will be as follows
- 60% will go towards league fees
- 30% towards new gear such as caps and balls
- 10% towards travel fees and expenses
