Dear RoboMaster supporters,
We would like to thank you for all your donations to our club. Now, we are a club of 20 people divided into 6 departments. In the past few weeks, we were able to purchase our first robot, a testing turret camera, and a stereo camera using the money we gathered from crowdfunding. We were able to make a lot of progress with your help. The Simulation group has successfully built a simulation to model the real game environment. We will test different strategies from the Path Planning group and Reinforcement Learning group in the simulation and gather data. The RL group has devised a function for generating a reward scalar from each state, which will be used with the data we gather to train our policy using the reward function. With the turret camera, the Perception group is currently collecting and processing images to train the neural network. The control group has been tasked with writing the PID controller and writing an algorithm for aiming the turret that takes into consideration the motion of the robots. The business group also has been reaching out to different sponsors.
