A huge THANK YOU to our generous donors for helping us reach our initial $9,600 goal in just 10 days! We are overwhelmed by and so grateful for all of your support! We have created a NEW stretch goal of $20,000, which will further subsidize the cost of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If we can reach our $20,000 goal, we will be able to provide a $500 subsidy to each of our eligible Trekkers. Please continue to show your support by sharing or donating today!
For the first time ever, Berkeley is organizing a Spring Break trip to Palestine! The trip is open to graduate students at UC Berkeley and UC Hastings. The purpose of Palestine Trek is to introduce trekkers to Palestinian heritage, history, people, and culture, to expose the reality of life under military occupation, and to elevate the Palestinian narrative. Palestine Trek will contribute to changing the discourse on the Israel/Palestine conflict by critically engaging graduate students through a robust week-long trip to Palestine. In the current political climate, this goal is more important than ever. During the trek, students will meet activists, artists, businessmen, and politicians, and visit heritage and religious sites.

Mission:
Pal-Trek’s mission is to build a network of future leaders and advocates in the United States who learn the Palestinian narrative through an immersive educational trip to Palestine. The trip will consist of a robust week-long trip through 11 cities in historical Palestine and will include over 20 speakers from political, business, and human rights organizations.
************
How the trip works:
1. Build awareness:
Before the Trek, the team will organize historical & political learning sessions to further awareness and situate trekkers in the historical, political, cultural, and social context of the Trek
2. Promote on-the-ground learning:
This year's Trek will feature 8 jam-packed days moving through 11 cities in historical Palestine
Palestine Trek will feature meetings and talks with 20+ speakers
3. Meet with leaders across human rights, business, politics, and more:
Movement leaders and human rights organizations
High-level public officials
Business leaders
Journalists
4. Engage individuals, campuses, and communities after the Trek:
After the Trek, the team will organize debrief sessions & readouts to the public
By trekking alongside Pal Trek contingents from various campuses, students will join a network of trip participants across top academic institutions in the U.S.
