Destination College Advising Corps Fund

The mission of Destination College Advising Corps (DCAC) is to increase college access for low-income, first generation and underrepresented high school students by placing highly-trained, recent college graduates in schools as full time College Adviser Fellows.

In 2007 UC Berkeley DCAC was launched as one of the original (National) College Advising Corps chapters funded by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. DCAC began with two Advisers in two high schools in Solano County. Today, DCAC provides college access and preparation services to over 40,000 high school students in districts throughout California.

In 2017-18 academic year, the DCAC College Adviser Fellows advised a total of 7,834 seniors, provided 30,517 one-on-one advising sessions, assisted with 23,721 college application submissions, and ensured 8,198 FAFSA submissions, securing access to 13.4 million dollars in financial aid. DCAC is raising funds to continue providing quality services to the high school students we serve in Alameda County, Contra Costa County, Santa Clara County, and Solano County. Your support will help DCAC continue increasing college access for low-income, first generation, and underrepresented high school students.
