Thank you for your kind and generous gift to our crowdfunding project Patagonia beetle biodiversity.
There are only 3 days left to reach our goal and we are at 82%. We are excited to train students and explore Patagonia’s biodiversity. But most importantly, the data and specimens that we acquire will be house in several biological collections for generations to come. Thank you for being part of this crucial research.
With our campaign ending on October 31 – please help us spread the word by sharing our page at https://crowdfund.berkeley.edu/patagonia. We only need just a few more donors to reach our goal and every bit will help. Thanks again.

A crafted color postal card made at the Essig museum of Entomology featuring a beetle or a landscape from Patagonia - YOU CHOOSE!
We will get together in November (date and time will be announced) at the La Pena Restaurant in Berkeley for a short movie and insect presentations. We'll share tips on how to get to Chile and best Southern Chilean landscapes.
Join our team for a meeting at the Essig Museum of Entomology to learn about Patagonia, its history and its biodiversity.
The team will receive a small group of people and show Chilean insects and spiders and books. They will give a short tour to the museum and explain the value of biodiversity. The Essig Museum is only open to the public during Cal Day, so this is a truly unique and exclusive opportunity!
We will show the insect collection and the Chilean beetles that we have collected.
