Our Crowdfunding Groups
The mission statement of the Pilipino Association for Health Careers, to act as a support group for pre-health students and to educate communities about the health issues relative to the Pilipino community, rings clear with the intent of all of its programs. This is especially true with the Medical Mission. The immediate impact is that thousands of Pilipino citizens receive health treatment for a variety of conditions that would’ve been difficult to procure otherwise.
It provides UC Berkeley students, both those with the privilege of attending firsthand as well as those who learn more about the nuances of the mission through intensive project planning, with an educational experience that highlights the disparities in the Philippine healthcare system. Given that a majority of participants in this semester-long project are to some capacity pre-health students, this specific project consequently helps shape their worldview relative to healthcare and service.One of our most recent volunteers, Trinity Rico, indeed has found that her participation in the medical mission has reinforced her desire to serve underserved populations as a physician and has given her a clearer window into interpersonal patient interactions.
We request for help from donors because the mission’s success is entirely contingent upon the amount of money that we can obtain to pay for medical supplies that immediately go to patient care. The support that we garner through manpower at our events and fundraisers, although incredibly important, isn’t enough for us to provide a quality of care that the people in the Philippines deserve.

For donations between $10 and $15, we will feature you on our Instagram story to thank you for your contribution.
For donations of $25, we will send you a personalized thank you card signed by all of our board members.
For donations of $50, we will send you a personalized thank you video (in addition to the card) featuring all of our board members and images from our past medical missions.
In addition to the thank you card and video, we will recognize your generous donation during all of our events and will feature your name on our Facebook page under our list of donors and supporters.
Our top 5 donors are invited to our annual awards banquet that recognizes the accomplishments of our club members during the academic year. You will be recognized as one of our most generous donors at the banquet and will also receive the thank you card, video, and donor list space.
