Hi everyone! We are Cal Hurling Club, one of the oldest college hurling clubs in the United States, and an active member of the National Collegiate Gaelic Athletic Association (NCGAA). As a small-sized sport club, we have players of various backgrounds from first-year hurlers and players that have known this sport since childhood, and we are together because we share the same passion for the sport and our wonderful community.
The 2020 national collegiate hurling tournament, the biggest of its level in the US, will be held in March in Orlando, Florida. As a 100% student-run team with no stable income source, many of our team members sadly couldn’t make the trip because of financial reasons. However, we want every player who wants to play hurling to have an opportunity, and that’s why we are asking for your donation!
All fund raised will be used to cover for our tournament expenses -- we are aiming for a total of $1500, where $200 will be used on accommodations, $1000 on flight tickets, and $300 for new jerseys. We have used the same set of jerseys for over 7 years, and it does not comply with the current Cal sport club sponsorship rules. Therefore, we need to order a new set of jerseys for the whole team.
Your donation would be very helpful in sending our team to the tournament, as we proudly represent Cal in the biggest stage in the US! If you are unable to support financially, please share our campaign on your social platform!
