Our Crowdfunding Groups
Cal Women’s Club Lacrosse offers players a chance to continue the sport we love, competing against other college club lacrosse teams primarily in California and Arizona. As a club sport, we are a student-created and student-run team that receives minimal funding from the university. We rely on annual dues from players, fundraising, and generous donations from our supporters to attend tournaments, travel to games, pay our wonderful coaches, and remain a competitive team.

Our team was founded in 2008 as a Division II club team, but soon won the Division II WWLL Championship and moved up to the Division I level. We play against other club programs including UCLA, UCSB, Santa Clara, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UC Davis, ASU, Grand Canyon University, and St. Mary’s. In recent years, our team has proven itself to be a strong competitor in the WWLL, one of the strongest leagues in the WCLA. Last year, we were ranked among the top 20 D1 club teams in the nation, and have been ranked in the top 20 again this year in the pre-season poll. We hope to play in Nationals in coming years, and we need your support to help build our program!
Our team this year is comprised of about 30 members from all grade levels and many fields of study, including English, Statistics, Physics, Public Health, Biology and Economics. Through club lacrosse, we are able to continue playing the sport we love and also pursue our academic goals at an excellent university, while making great friends and further developing our teamwork and leadership skills. Together, we hope to maintain and grow our team, giving more women the chance to play lacrosse, improve leadership and teamwork skills, and have a positive community at Cal.
