Our Crowdfunding Groups
Since 1964, ASUC SUPERB has provided students, as well as the greater Berkeley community, with free entertainment in the form of comedy shows, concerts, film screenings, and game nights. In the past year, we have hosted events with acclaimed acts including Toro y Moi, A$AP Ferg, Thundercat, Nathan Fielder and Tig Notaro. With our 50+ years of experience, we are constantly looking for ways to expand our offerings and improve entertainment programming for students at Cal.
Our latest project is to bring a one-day entertainment festival to the Cal campus called SUPERBFEST. We are launching the inaugural SUPERBFEST in the spring of 2017, and hope that it will become a Cal tradition for many years to come. Since this will be the first time we plan to have it, we are looking to raise external funds in addition to our current budget to help launch this event.
Our vision for SUPERBFEST is to create an all-day celebration of on-campus entertainment. We hope to provide multiple musical acts and comedic performances, a film screening, and games. We hope to create an atmosphere like a music festival or carnival. If we raise our goal amount of $10,000, we could create an amazing day of diverse entertainment for the Berkeley community. The funding we collect would directly fund necessities for the events, such as additional sound equipment/technicians, security staffing, and space rental.
With our 110+ members and 50+ years of experience in creating entertainment events, SUPERB can make SUPERBFEST a full-day event utilizing every department of SUPERB that could become a longstanding tradition and would be an annual opportunity for students and community members alike to gather and enjoy a day of entertainment.
