All undergraduates in the Developing Child summer minor have the valuable experience of working with young children as part of our Practicum course. The goal is to deepen students' understanding of child development by applying theory into practice. Guided by a skilled teacher at one of UC Berkeley’s Early Childhood Education Programs (ECEP), students build relationships with young children and become members of the toddler or preschool classroom community. ECEP Teachers provide the opportunities, support, and insight into how children learn and develop. In appreciation of their expertise and time, we’ll present teachers in each classroom with a gift card.
