Who is California Women's Club Soccer?

We're a student-run and organized club that allows young women to continue to play soccer in college while also pursuing higher education. It helps young women with a common interest in soccer find a smaller support network and community on a large campus like Berkeley's. Having such an inclusive community allows us to aid in both physical and mental health of players, and has fostered many amazing friendships and memories for most current and former players.

At times Cal can be very academically overwhelming and draining, but we are extremely lucky to have a place to let out steam and get social interaction and support on a regular basis. It also allows us to continue to enjoy our passion for soccer and competition. Most of our players had the opportunity to play at other schools on D1-3 teams but refused our offers in order to pursue our academic interests at Berkeley. Club soccer has given us the opportunity to not only attain our academic goals, but also continue to play the sport that we love.

We are asking all of our supporters to donate to our team and share our campaign with their social networks. Since we are entirely student-run, this campaign is our main source of funds for the upcoming season. The Covid-19 pandemic has unfortunately cancelled our fall season, but we are hopeful and planning for our spring season to continue as usual, as well as future National and Regional tournaments. The majority of our funds go towards our coaches, travel costs for tournaments (especially Nationals and Regionals), and our other league fees. Please feel free to reach out to any of the girls mentioned above with any further questions regarding our team or this unique season!
