Our Crowdfunding Groups
Hi! We are a group of girls who have recently started a club softball team here at UC Berkeley, and we would like your support in continuing this project! Upon our arrival at Berkeley, we noticed that many sports had club teams aside from the division team, and we all agreed that a club team is a great way to play a sport at a competitive level without having too high of a time commitment. There is also no intramural fastpitch softball league at Berkeley, making it nearly impossible to play fastpitch softball without being on the school’s team. As such, we started our own club softball team, and last year, with the help of our donors, we became recognized by the National Club Softball Association! When it's safe, we hope to compete in games locally this upcoming school year, and are engaging in many recruitment efforts for when we are able to resume normal operations. We are depending on your support to pay league dues, purchase team equipment, rent practice space, and travel to tournaments, and through these efforts we hope to make softball more accessible and fun for Berkeley’s students.
Here are some of our budget items for this year:
League dues: $950
Team uniforms: $200
Field costs (subject to COVID): $650
Transportation: $100
Total: $1,900
School funding (so far): $400
Fall fundraising: $500 (we hope!)
