Our Crowdfunding Groups
Opportunity Through Data is a Big Ideas funded data science education initiative that teaches introductory data science to underrepresented and under-resourced high school students and incarcerated women. Our goal is to make data science more accessible and equitable to these communities in hopes of diversifying the data science field.
A donation to Opportunity Through Data (OTD) will go towards directly supporting the students in our program by aiding in financing any materials needed to thrive in our course. This is including, but not limited to laptops for hands-on programming as well as WiFi hotspots for those who may not have a stable internet connection at home.
We hope to continue to support our students following their completion of the program and that they can take away valuable as well as transferable knowledge for the tech industry. We have a dedicated team of 20+ undergrad students working towards supporting the program and our students through developing our curriculum, serving as teachers, and executing operations.

We will be sending everyone who donates $20 a free introduction to data science class taught by UC Berkeley students including an introduction to SQL.
