The Panhellenic Community at Cal prides itself on the strides it takes to alleviate the barriers surrounding entry and retention in Greek life. From eliminating recruitment fees to offering need-based scholarships, our community has a vested interest in ensuring that students from all backgrounds are able to join, able to remain, and most importantly, have as robust a sorority experience as possible. That nearly always involves spending time in the chapter houses--the cornerstones of the Panhellenic experience. Chapter Houses function as a central hub for community, giving Panhellenic women an opportunity to bond in an organic way, poising them to develop live-long relationships that give rise to the unique advantages of sorority membership throughout one’s life. Panhellenic housemates become best friends, study buddies, business partners, and more. They hold open doors for each other, empowering each other in an active student and alumnae community that begins at home, at one of the 13 chapter houses in Berkeley, CA.Our members giving back to the community! 

Moreover, with housing in Berkeley reaching almost inaccessible price points for most college students, the sorority housing experience offers a competitively low rent that enables Panhellenic members to “live-in” with fewer costs than living elsewhere. Fundraising for housing dues thus enables us to keep this process alive. Housing accessibility is a priority for us, even more so with the knowledge that chapter housing encourages lifelong sisterhood connection, communities of support, increased safety, and the professional and post-graduate opportunities endemic to any sorority experience.
