About Us
The Undergraduate Gift Campaign (UGC) is the official student philanthropy group of the College of Chemistry. Our goal is to galvanize undergraduate students of the College of Chemistry to support the next generation of scientific leaders at UC Berkeley. Led by a team of passionate and dedicated undergraduate students, our campaign works to build a school-wide culture of philanthropy amongst our students, alumni, faculty, and staff. Through student events and participation in the campus-wide initiative Big Give, we educate our community on the importance of philanthropy and instill a sense of camaraderie and pride for being a Bear
We had a record-breaking 2021 raising $7,700. We surpassed our fundraising goal by 192%, with our number of gifts exceeding last year's total by 126%! Join us in making our 2022 campaign the best yet to help create a community of support for College of Chemistry undergraduate students that will last a lifetime.

Your donation helps support two major programs in the CoC:
Matching Gifts
For every $1 donated, Undergraduate Dean John Arnold will match $5 up to the first $1000 donated! So, by giving just $10, you help raise $60 to support CoC undergraduates!
We were last year’s most supported fund. Help us make Dean Arnold proud by beating our donor goal this year to secure our title for another year!

GIVING BACK
Emily Hayman ‘21, Chemical Engineering
No matter how much we have to give, be it a little or a lot, it is impossible to overcome any challenge without some help. I am where I am today because of many people selflessly contributing to my well-being; be that fiscal or emotional assistance. If I do not always take every opportunity to give back to others in the way others have given to me, I am doing myself and all those who came before me a great disservice.
