Our Crowdfunding Groups
Ra-On is a student-run Korean band dedicated to spreading Korean culture and spirit to Cal students through our music and performances. We were established in 2006 by a group of musically inclined students looking to make music together for others to enjoy. Our purpose is to bring the performing arts of Korean culture through band music. Although we are a Korean-centered band, we also cover a variety of English songs from Stevie Wonder to Muse.

With that being said, as a group funded primarily through fundraisers and other private sources, we greatly depend on the generosity of our donors which will help towards buying equipments for the band, going to studios, and a majority of it going towards renting out the venue for our End-of-Semester Concert. Support us in sharing the soul of Korean music with the Cal community! The following will be the exact split:
During Fall and Spring Semesters, Ra-On practices everyday to make sure we give our best performance in the end. Every week, we rent out from practice rooms in Eshleman Hall and ever so often studios to rehearse various covers that we will perform at our End-of-Semester Concert and other events prior to the concert.

Because we love jamming, Ra-On is always open to perform short sets for anyone who would like to bring our Korean spirit and music to their special events. In recent years, Ra-On has been invited to participated for the East Asian Union Market, KASA's Culture Show, Taiko, mini stages in cafes, and carry out busking 3 times a semester on Upper Sproul.
Ra-On End of Semester Concert (Fall 2021)
Ra-On is Berkeley’s only student-run band on campus creating Korean-focused live music. Supporting Ra-On will help us share with you our Korean culture through live performances, fostering a more diverse and rich environment on campus for you to enjoy. Even if you do not decide to donate, Thank You for your interest by reading this far. On the other hand, if you do decide to donate, the band truly appreciates your support and love for Korean music and culture. Let's vibe.
