We are still basking in the glow of our performance in Hertz Hall last weekend. Our deepest thanks to those of you who experienced this beautiful and daring program “One World” in person. We now turn our attention to our European tour this summer!

Whether you’re a lover of choral music, a Berkeley alum or family member, or if you have memories of a trip abroad as a young person, you know the lasting power of performing with friends in another country. And you know it takes a village to make these tours happen!

We are in the last few hours of our fundraiser to support need-based scholarships for our singers–and your gift will be matched by a generous donor! Please contribute today, with our sincere thanks.

Our ambitions extend well beyond this summer: We are making plans to visit Carnegie Hall in 2024, we are forging daring programs and partnerships for next season, and above all we want to build on the growing participation and enthusiasm in our Choruses.

Dear friends of the UC Berkeley Chamber Chorus,

Thank you for your support during this busy month! It all wraps up this Saturday at 8pm with our final concert of the school year. 

We are also in the final 2 weeks of our fundraiser to support Chorus programs, including need-scholarships for our once-in-a-lifetime tour to Portugal this summer. 

We are excited to announce that a generous donor has pledged to match all gifts up to $1,000 for the campaign between now and Saturday, 5/6! Your support will be doubled if you act now!

Please join us at Hertz Hall on the 29th to hear beautiful harmonies and adventurous programming and to send our graduating singers off in style. Your contribution to the chorus can help make these experiences accessible to all.

Choral Program Crowdfunding

Dear Friends of Chamber Chorus,

Thank you for your continued support! We are delighted to announce that our Mozart concert this past weekend was sold out! Both the choruses and orchestra had a wonderful time performing, and we aim to bring more productions like these to the community in the future.

In addition to special concerts like these, we hope to provide our members an unparalleled experience with our summer tour. For some, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to strengthen their bonds with fellow singers and the community on a global stage. It is also our first tour in 20 years!

Our first member spotlight this spring is Reuben Rodriguez, one of our tenors in the choir.

Choral Program Crowdfunding

Dear Friends of Chamber Chorus,

Within these past 2 weeks, the choral program had 3 successful concerts. Chamber Chorus performed at a local country club to provide some holiday cheer at their tree lighting event. University Chorus and Golden Bear Voices hosted our annual holiday noon concert with guest groups Cal Jazz Choir and Gospel Chorus. Chamber Chorus closed out the semester with their performance of Huang Ruo's Angel Island - Oratorio for Voices and String Quartet. Everyone had a wonderful experience with this multi-media production . We are honored to have collaborated with the Del Sol Quartet, choreographers Ky Frances and Mia Chong, visual designer Olivia Ting, and composer Huang Ruo.

Choral Program Crowdfunding

Dear Friends of Chamber Chorus,

Thank you for supporting the start of our crowdfunding campaign. Please enjoy a video update from one of our basses, Owen Klein!

We are also happy to announce that our campaign has extended to December 31. Every $1000 we raise funds one member's scholarship for the tour. With $5000, we hope to support at least 5 student scholarships.

Less than 2 weeks ago, the choral program had a successful concert performing Will Todd's Mass in Blue to a huge crowd! Both University Chorus and Golden Bear Voices participated in this concert. We are looking forward to our holiday noon concert on November 30 with our guests, Cal Jazz Choir and Gospel Chorus. Chamber Chorus closes out the semester with their performance of Huang Ruo's Angel Island - Oratorio for Voices and String Quartet. It is one of our most all-encompassing productions!
