Who We Are
Ursa Major, UC Berkeley's Men's Ultimate team, has been representing Cal since 1989. In that time, the team has made 7 appearances at the USA Ultimate College Championships, where the top 20 teams in the country compete for National dominance. Most recently we finished 5th place at last year's Nationals and are in a unique position to make back-to-back appearances at this tournament - something Cal hasn't done in over a decade. We are currently ranked 25th in the country and in contention to receive one of the hotly contested bids to Nationals from the Southwest region, and we need your help to get there!
But first, a little more about us. This year's iteration of Ursa Major is comprised of 22 athletes and 2 coaches, who hail from 8 different US states and 2 countries. We come from diverse backgrounds and study many different subjects. We have players who started playing ultimate as early as 5th grade and as late as graduate school, yet we are all united by this one team.

Why Support Us?
In order to compete at the highest level of college ultimate, we must travel across the state and country to face other top opponents in tournaments. These tournaments include expensive travel costs such as airfare, hotels, rental cars, and gas.
Cal Ultimate prides itself on not letting any financial barriers prevent people from being a part of our team. We provide as much financial assistance as possible to players who need it, which can include covering their flight and hotel costs for tournaments.
In order to earn a bid to nationals we need to compete against teams from all over the country. Your donations will make competing at these tournaments accessible for players of all backgrounds on our team. We are currently ranked in the top 25 teams in the nation and know that with the proper funding, we will make it to Nationals!
