Founded in 2012, Cal Club Baseball has been competing in the NCBA Division I conference for over 10 years. With our last Conference Championship appearance in 2014, we hope recapture that success this year. With a very talented group of returning players, we plan to expand the club to 28 players this season. Faced with challenges in field reservations, opponent cancelations, and unprecedented weather we still managed to pull off a 7-7 record. This season we plan to have many games in the Fall and Spring in our pursuit of a Conference title and, hopefully, a National title as well!
As a student-led organization, Cal Club Baseball is an almost entirely self-funded baseball team. Therefore, we would be very grateful for any donations you are willing to give. Baseball is quite an expensive sport: just to play a game we need money for fields (~$400 per series), umpires ($480 per series), uniforms (~$2000 for one team set), on top of a $2000 in membership fees. The chart below shows the distribution of how our money is utilized throughout the school year.
The main use of our donation money is to provide a second set of uniforms for our players to wear. Due to a smaller roster size, we had to cut out plans for a second uniform. As we play three games most weekends, a second jersey is essential as the first gets both dirty and uncomfortable. It is also important to have to separate uniforms in case the opponent rocks a similar contact, then we can switch. We'd appreciate your support as we play for our Cal Club Baseball dreams!
