Hello! Berkeley Crowdfunding is upon us, and we’re so excited to launch the fundraiser for Cal Mock Trial, UC Berkeley’s premier mock trial team. Thank you so much for your interest in our organization!
What is Cal Mock Trial?
Cal Mock Trial is UC Berkeley’s Official Mock Trial Team. As of 2023, CMT is ranked 20th in the nation. Since its founding in 1999, Cal Mock Trial has been a nationally ranked program and has consistently competed at the top levels of collegiate mock trial.
As part of its competitive season, Cal Mock Trial regularly travels across the country to compete in tournaments. Recent years have seen the Golden Bears competing and winning trials at locations such as Washington D.C., New York City, Memphis, Chicago, Seattle, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and more. Cal Mock Trial is a constant presence at the National Championship Tournament each year, often qualifying two separate teams and placing among the top ten programs in the nation.
Over the past several years, travel costs have risen exponentially. Tickets that used to cost hundreds of dollars now cost thousands. Your donation is what allows our team to continue compete at the highest levels of mock trial. It’s what enables us to book plane tickets, hotel accommodations, printing supplies and pay for registration fees.
Our goal this year is to raise $5,000. Of that $5,000, $3,000 will go towards plane tickets, $1,000 to hotels, $650 to printing our materials and visual aids, and $350 towards gas.
We truly appreciate any support that you can give. Without your help, Cal Mock Trial would be unable to travel the country and represent our university with the passion and excellence for which we are known. When you contribute to Cal Mock Trial, you’re also investing in the growth and development of our talented students who are poised to become the legal leaders of tomorrow. Your support means the world to us.
You can contact at anytime with questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you again for your time and support,
