Our Crowdfunding Groups
Cal Men's Club Soccer is a group of 25 talented and competitive men, united by their love of the beautiful game. Competing against schools such as Stanford, UC Davis and Santa Cruz, Men's club soccer are two-time club national champions. We hold numerous titles including 2018 National Showcase Runners-Up, Fall 2018 WCSA League Champions, and the 2014 NIRSA Open National Champions.
On top of athletic success, each player is a brilliant and committed student, working to balance his coursework with our demanding soccer schedule. Men's Club Soccer strives for success on and off the soccer field. While we practice 3 times a week and play two games most weekends, players also devote time to other clubs and activities, all this on top of the demanding coursework required of students at Cal! Each player is inspired by the drive, talent, and tenacity of his teammates to set high goals and the support we receive from each other allows us to reach them. We support each other, we push each other to do our best, cook for each other, and spend countless hours doing homework with each other. We love soccer, but we love each other even more.
This past year, we traveled up and down the state of California, playing in Davis, Santa Cruz, the Bay and Irvine. Our success in these games and our league earned us a chance to play at Nationals in Round Rock, Texas, where we placed third in our group. We also qualified for and played regionals at Irvine, where we went undefeated and placed second in our group.
As a historically self-funded and self-run organization, we have relied on many personal sacrifices from our players and annual player dues to stay afloat. Despite our best efforts to raise money, because of our minimal funding we have been unable to compete to our full potential.
Having done well in the league, this upcoming season, we seek to compete again at regionals and nationals. To attend these big tournaments we rely on YOUR support and donations. We would greatly appreciate your support as it would play an integral part in not only helping our club continue as an organization but also hopefully aid us in our pursuit of a national title! Your funding will be incredibly significant for the success of this soccer program as well as the players. The funding would be used to get new gear, league and tournament fees, as well as cover travel costs. Along with this, it also helps alleviate the financial stress for players who already pay for tuition, housing, textbooks, and food. Whatever amount we do not raise, we pay for out of pocket, which is why every amount makes a difference! With your help, players can continue to play the game they love without the financial stress, and, as an added benefit to donors, your donations are tax-deductible!
