Greetings from the vibrant heart of UC Berkeley! We are the Iraqi Student Union, and we have aimed for cultural diversity and inclusivity. Since our establishment in Spring 2023, we've been tirelessly working to create a home away from home for Iraqi peers, fostering connections and building a sense of community at UC Berkeley.
We're reaching out to you for support in bringing a spectacular celebration of Iraqi culture to life – our annual gala. To make this dream a reality, we need your support! Your generous contributions will enable us to curate an immersive experience filled with music, performances, delectable cuisine, and captivating art, all woven together to celebrate the tapestry of Iraqi culture and history.
By supporting our gala, you are championing a cultural renaissance, fostering cross-cultural understanding, and breaking down barriers. This event not only brings joy to our campus community but also acts as a cultural bridge, fostering an environment where diversity is not just celebrated but embraced.
Our target population is the general UC Berkeley Population to promote inclusivity. We will encourage attendance from all members of the Cal community from all backgrounds so we can bridge different cultures and identities.
