Welcome to the Psychology Opportunity Scholarship Donation Page!

According to the U.S. Office of Postsecondary Education, UC Berkeley educates a high number of low-income students relative to its student body, especially compared to other top-ranked universities. 

Our chapter of Psi Chi aims to bridge the gap in need-based resources for psychology students, creating the Psychology Opportunity Scholarship, one of the only need-based scholarships specific to the promotion of psychological studies at UC Berkeley. 

We are students who are passionate about the field of psychology, and our goal is to provide our members with the means necessary to advance psychological research at Cal and beyond.

How Will Your Funds Be Used?

For every $250 - $500 raised, a need-based award will be made available to deserving students who can propel the study of psychology.

All funds will be distributed to the Department of Psychology, who, in partnership with the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office, will administer and determine eligible students with financial need. We, as students, will not have a role in choosing the recipients. Every penny from this crowdfunding campaign will be included in the Psychology Opportunity Fund, which will sponsor present and future cohorts of undergraduate psychology scholars at UC Berkeley!
