The Californians is a dynamic group dedicated to providing campus and community service, leadership development, and class unity. Our mission is to transform today’s active students into tomorrow’s active alumni.

Activities and Traditions

Fall Semester

• Planned Homecoming festivities

• Planned December General Commencement for graduating seniors

Spring Semester

• Organize Senior Week, including the long-standing tradition of painting the Big C
• Coordinate numerous other events leading up to May Commencement
• Plan General Commencement for graduating seniors

Funding Goals and Use of Funds

We plan to use the funds raised by mid-May to support graduation events, Senior Week activities, and class memorabilia before the academic year concludes. By reaching our goal, we aim to create memorable experiences for the senior class, foster a strong sense of community and school spirit, and leave a lasting legacy for future Golden Bears.

Allocation Breakdown

1. Graduation Events (40%)
Covering venue costs, decorations, and activities to celebrate the senior class.

2. Senior Week Activities (35%)
Organizing engaging events such as mixers, outings, and networking opportunities for the graduating class.

3. Class Legacy Initiatives (15%)
Contributing to projects that benefit future students, such as class gifts or campus improvements.

4. Administrative Costs and Marketing (10%)
Covering operational expenses, including marketing materials and event coordination logistics.

Through your support, The Californians will continue to uphold cherished traditions and foster a vibrant alumni network for UC Berkeley! If we do not reach our goal, we will prioritize essential graduation events and key Senior Week activities to ensure the senior class can still celebrate together. Any remaining funds will go toward smaller-scale class legacy projects or future senior events.
