Greetings from the vibrant heart of UC Berkeley! We are the Iraqi Student Union, and we have always aimed to promote cultural diversity and inclusivity. Since our establishment in Spring 2023, we’ve been tirelessly working to create a home away from home for Iraqi peers while fostering connections and building a strong sense of community on campus.
Now, we’re reaching out to you to help us bring our vision to life—a celebration of Iraqi culture through our annual gala, Iraqi Cultural Night. Your generous contributions will enable us to curate an immersive experience filled with music, performances, cuisine, and art, to celebrate the beauty of Iraqi culture and history.
The mission of Iraqi Cultural Night is to provide students and the community with an engaging and authentic experience that celebrates the rich heritage, traditions, and vibrant culture of Iraq. This event's purpose is to promote diversity and create a welcoming space where attendees can learn, connect, and enjoy aspects of Iraqi culture, such as traditional music, dance, and cuisine. The funds raised will directly support essential costs, including venue rental, catering, decorations, transportation costs, and performance fees. By donating, you will help bring this unique cultural event to life and ensure its success in sharing the beauty of Iraqi culture with a broader audience. By contributing, you will be directly supporting a one-time celebration but also creating cross-cultural understanding and strengthening appreciation for cultural differences within our community. With your help, Iraqi Cultural Night can leave a lasting impact and inspire greater respect for diversity and inclusion.
