Hi everyone, it's Darren, co-president of GDD here! Our crowdfunding has concluded (actually it concluded a while ago, but we didn't forget about it, promise!)

We managed to surpass our goal of $850, with a total donation pool of $975! We give our heartfelt thanks to our six very benevolent donors. It's inspiring to know that there are people who care about game development and our mission. So again, thanks to everyone who generously donated to our campaign and also to those who spread the word of our campaign!

With your assistance, we plan first and foremost to help people pay for passes to the 2026 Game Developers Conference (GDC)! Due to changes to how the conference operates, the passes have become much less accessible for us students, but thanks to our crowdfunding we will be able to help offset the price increase for those who wish to attend. GDC has been a great experience that many of us in the club can attest to, and we're thankful that we can have this opportunity with your help.

For those of you who have donated for our perks, we haven't forgotten about you! To be transparent, our club is relatively quite small so our bandwidth has been under a bit of stress with exams and all that college stuff, but we'll try our best to deliver by the end of March 2026. We've had some hiccups with transfer of leadership regarding our website that we've been getting sorted out throughout this semester, but we're nearly there!
