Support Cal Cycling!

Cal Cycling is UC Berkeley’s official cycling club and competitive racing team, representing the Golden Bears across California and beyond. Our mission is to make cycling accessible to students of all backgrounds—whether they’re new to the sport or racing at the national level. The club offers weekly rides, training camps, and racing opportunities throughout the school year, building community, leadership, and a lifelong love of riding.

This fall, we’re raising funds to support our mountain bike racing season! Our team will be traveling to seven collegiate races hosted by other universities across Northern California, and your support will help cover transportation and housing so that more student-athletes can participate. We also plan to send a small team to USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals in Colorado to defend our 2024 national title in the cross-country event.

All donations go directly toward essential cycling competition expenses such as, but not limited to, travel, lodging, race entry fees, and equipment maintenance for both our mountain and road racing seasons. These costs add up quickly: our average cost per student-athlete per competitive season is about $200, which includes travel, lodging, and race fees. With a competitive roster of 15 riders and 8 events this season, the total cost of keeping our program competitive comes to around $24,000.

Our goal is to raise at least $5,000 to help lower these expenses and make participation more affordable for everyone on the team. Even if we don’t meet our full goal, every contribution helps bring more students to local collegiate races and nationals. Every dollar goes a long way, and we appreciate any support you’re able to give.
