We are thrilled to report our new custom-built Discovery Cart is now at the UC Botanical Garden!
Thanks to all of our generous donors, the Garden now has a mobile home for its Discovery Station program, a locus for the visiting public to interact with docents and engage with hands-on explorations and a closer look into the world of plants. The Discovery Cart will begin regular use on every first Free Wednesday of the month starting in February.
The cart was built by local artist Peter Suchecki and features everything our docents were dreaming of, including light weight design, easy to maneuver, multiple surfaces, umbrella, storage, and much more.
We hope you will visit the UC Botanical Garden and experience the Discovery Cart in person!

Dear friends of the UC Botanical Garden,
We are so pleased to announce that our Discovery Cart campaign was TWICE successful!
Thanks to your generosity, not only did we achieve our initial goal of $5,000 to build the Cart, we also reached our stretch goal to $7,000 to add additional features and equipment!
We are very excited to get to work making the Discovery Cart a reality and hope you will all join us in the Garden come spring to experience the Discovery Cart firsthand.
Thank you again for helping us inspire our Botanical Garden visitors, young and old, to take a closer look at the world of plants and make new discoveries!

THANK YOU to all of our Discovery Cart donors! Thanks to you, we have met our initial goal and can now build our basic cart.
To take the Discovery Cart experience to the next level, we are launching a new stretch goal of $7,000!
With these funds we will buy additional equipment to support the Discovery Cart experience, including science equipment (like a mobile microscope), signs to welcome visitors with the theme of the day, a better shade structure, and more!
