Sunstock 2026

SunStock is an annual solar-powered music festival hosted by the ASUC Sustainability Team, one of the oldest commissions on the UC Berkeley campus. Our event is dedicated to community organizing centered around sustainability. Held each April on West Crescent Lawn, this event brings together students, faculty, and community members to celebrate clean energy, creativity, and collective action towards a greener future. 

As a 100% free and open event, Sunstock emphasizes accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring that environmental awareness and activism are available to all. The event also features a sustainability fair, providing clubs across campus with a unique opportunity to engage with students and Berkeley residents. Sunstock transforms sustainability from an abstract goal into an engaging, community-centered experience.

Why donate?

In its first two years, Sunstock partnered with LA-based band Trapdoor Social, who headline our festival and previously provided their solar-powered trailer and generator. Unfortunately, their trailer of equipment was stolen, and the event now relies on rented equipment.

To ensure Sunstock remains fully solar-powered and achieves its goal of demonstrating renewable energy in action, we are asking for your financial support to maintain our mission by renting an alternative setup for the event. Your donation will go towards renting a solar-powered trailer and generator.

In the case we do not meet our goal, we will allocate funding from other events towards Sunstock and apply for additional funding opportunities. Any additional contributions will go towards funding band equipment and time to keep the festival free, accessible, and sustainable for all performers and attendees.
