Cal Habitat for Humanity Fundraiser Fall 2026
Description
Since its inception in 1999, Cal Habitat has emerged as the largest student-led humanitarian organization at UC Berkeley, committed to uplifting underserved communities throughout the Bay Area. Each semester, our Golden Bears unite for over 200 events, contributing more than 3,400 impactful hours through various activities such as gardening, clean-ups, soup kitchens, food pantries, advocacy and home-building initiatives that genuinely foster change.
Donations play a vital role in enabling our student volunteers to have transportation for soup kitchens, where they serve hundreds of families in need. Contributions also assist us in revitalizing greenery spaces in the community such as hikes, parks, etc. We invite you to watch our video to see our work in action! A highlight of our efforts includes build events, where donations directly support students in constructing affordable housing. We have witnessed the transformation of dirt mounds turn into homes where individuals and families now live and thrive! Among these numerous projects, our advocacy committee along with our other committees are working hard to bring a Little Free Pantry to life!
Funds raised will be allocated for Spring 2027. These funds will ensure the longevity of our organization, allowing us to continue providing students with the opportunity to serve and, most importantly, to make a meaningful impact within our community. With the funds we can spread our service even more and be able to give every member the opportunity to give back. We wouldn't have to worry about capping projects and events which could make a huge difference and impact! In the case we surpass our goal or are not able to reach it, we would change the scale of our projects and events.
Your support is essential to sustaining this critical work. Together, we are "Raising the Roof with Cal Habitat," creating lasting change and hope for those in need.

This budget provides a rough estimate only and actual expenditures may vary.
Your donation helps cover the costs of the items mentioned above by providing general support to Cal Habitat. If you're interested in becoming a donor, we have some optional donations that we would love for you to consider.

Get a BIG THANK YOU from our members. You can expect to see 100 students waving and thanking you on your device. :) SO SWEET!

Our mascot is a manatee named Hugh. Can you guess why? Hint: say his name and what he is aloud.

Depending on the event members look forward to cleanup activities at a hiking trail, park, or coast. SO NATURE-Y!

Your contribution typically goes towards supplies that make cleanups more efficient or rideshare services, as public transportation options to the mountains are limited.

Support with gardening in farms and community gardens that makes food accessible to the community. We love TOUCHING GRASS!

Your contribution can get us gloves, shovels, and more supplies we need! With more donations we can cover transportation to further expand our efforts.
We engage in detailing, wood sawing, hammering, or painting. SO CREATIVE!

Your donations will assist in building projects that can make an impact on many individuals lives, as well as transportation for these events.
Thank you for taking a look at our page and considering our mission. Your support means the world to us. No donation is too small and a repost goes a long way. Feel free to share with your friends and family!
