Your Gift in Action

Your gift to the Gender & Women's Studies Annual Fund provides the flexible support that keeps our small but vibrant department thriving. Funding supports a range of departmental priorities, including student conference travel, bringing feminist scholars to campus, and supporting student research.

A Current Priority: The NWSA Conference

One of our most exciting initiatives this year is sending GWS seniors to the National Women's Studies Association (NWSA) Conference — the official academic gathering of our discipline. The conference gives students first-hand exposure to career pathways in GWS, including legislative paths, community organizations, government, and philanthropy. Students network with scholars and practitioners across the field and build a cohort to support their career goals.

A generous GWS alum got us started with a gift to send our first sponsored student. With your help, we hope to raise an additional $5,000 to offset the costs of two additional students to attend the conference.

About the Annual Fund

Your gift provides unrestricted support to the Gender & Women's Studies Annual Fund, which supports the basic operational needs of our department. The NWSA conference is one of many ways we invest in our students each year. Funding that surpasses our current goals will continue to support departmental operations and future student opportunities.
