Without you, we would not have been able to reach our $3,000 goal. We wish to thank you all for your unwavering support and clamor. All physical perks will be completed during/after the service trip, so be on the lookout for them!
We are planning to table at the upcoming Oakland First Fridays event this upcoming May 5th, 2017. If you wish to personally meet the team, be sure to stop by!
Once again, thank you all so much for helping us reach our goal and make an impact the health and education system of San Pedro de Cajas. Without you, these projects could not be carried through. You all are amazing!
Hello!
Thanks to all of our wonderful donors, we managed to hit the $2,000 mark :)
We are excited to carry out our projects in the town of San Pedro de Cajas alongside its community leaders. We want to announce our mini-campaign running until Friday:
We wish to obtain 30 additional donors by this Friday April 28, 2017!
Please consider making a donation and/or sharing our efforts with your friends and family. Help Children of the Andes run effectively in order to impact the health equity and bridge the education achievement gap in the town. As we come close to the end of our campaign, we wish to express our gratitude to all those who have donated thus far. All physical perks will be administered after the service project, so please expect them to arrive sometime in June!
We got to meet some wonderful prospective students and donors during CalDay! Thank you for stopping by and showing your support.
If you wish to meet the volunteering team, come meet us at Oakland First Friday this May 5th. We will be tabling Peruvian goodies at the event crafted in the town itself.

Hello everyone,
We are ecstatic to announce we have hit the $1,000 mark! We wish to thank all of our kind donors and supporters for their unwavering encouragement. We are currently one-third of the way to our goal (33% of 3,000). Please support us in our journey and share our efforts with your friends/family! The community of SPC and Children of the Andes thank you wholeheartedly.
We wish to give you all an update on our journey. Our team has currently completed their training on the following subjects:
1. Peruvian Etiquette, Culture and History
2. Differing between Volunteering and Voluntourism: Exploitation in Service
3. The Peruvian Education System: El Ministerio de Educacion
4. Community Health and Community-Based Participatory Research
These training workshops ensure our volunteers are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills required to effectively work with the SPC community. If you have any question regarding the conduction of the material or our resources, feel free to reach out to us! We will be happy to provide the material and further information.
Additionally, be on the lookout for Volunteer Spotlights on our Facebook page. We will be introducing our star team with quick bios and fun facts about them. Our first one will be up this Friday.
Once again, thank you all so much. Please be sure to share our effort with anyone who may be interested in donating and helping us make structural and sustainable change in the SPC community.
Thank you for your support! We will give you a shoutout on our Facebook page, so be sure to follow us at www.facebook.com/ChildrenotAndes/ We truly appreciate all the aid we receive.
In addition to a shoutout on Facebook, we will send you a handwritten and homemade thank you card to show our deep appreciation for your generosity.
In addition to the preceding two perks, we will send you a postcard with pictures from San Pedro de Cajas and its vibrant community. Thank you so much!
In addition to the preceding perks, you will receive insider photos of the team's education and public health outreach work during the trip. Take a look inside our progress and project development, as we strive to mark a difference side-by-side with community leaders.
In addition to the preceding perks, we will inscribe your name (or the name of your designee) on the “Wall of Support,” a wall of rocks by the ruins of Pacupahuay near San Pedro de Cajas. Be immortalized near a newly-discovered historic site.
In addition to the preceding gifts, we will gladly send you a personalized thank you video from our volunteers, students, and community members. We all wish to express our tremendous gratitude for you great gift!
In addition to all of the above, we would like to express our immense gratitude by extending a special invitation to you and a guest to a COTA team gathering.
