We need your help—our 2025 crowdfunding campaign is ending in five hours and we are still $1,670 away from our goal for this semester. 

We recently announced new events for this semester and our team has been working extremely hard on curating amazing speakers. Thank you for your past donation to The Berkeley Forum! This semester, we are back full force with in-person events, and the Forum needs your help to keep our events going. We have five days to raise $4,000 in order to fund more debates and panels, accesible venues, and big-name speakers. Please share our campaign on Facebook and consider donating to support our cause. Thanks to your help, we have raised $3,788 in the current crowdfunding cycle! We are only $212 away from reaching our goal of $4000. There are only 2 days left in our campaign and we would really appreciate it if you chipped in one more time. Your contributions will directly support our organization and its mission to provide a wide range of free and accessible events in the Berkeley community.

These include recent debates, panels, and talks with individuals like former White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, who spoke at the Forum on October 12th, and artist and muralist Zio Ziegler, who visited on October 23rd.

Thank you all again so much for your contributions. With the money raised, we were able to successfully confirm our event with Anant Agarwal for Novemeber 12.

Despite our original confirmation, I am disappointed to announce the cancellation of our event with Anant Agarwal. Unfortunately, Mr. Agarwal has informed us that he will not be able to attend due to personal reasons.

To everyone who contributed to our crowdfunding campaign, we apologize. Although Anant Agarwal will no longer be coming to the Berkeley Forum, I can ensure you that the funds raised will be used to further our mission of providing a forum for a wide range of ideas on Berkeley's campus.

All of the funds raised from the crowdfunding campaign that were intended for this event will be used for our talk with Tony DeRose, the lead of the Research Group at Pixar. With the remaining funds we were able to add a number of additional events, which we will be announcing later this week. 

All crowdfunding perks can be applied towards any future event, as originally specified.

On behalf of all the staff of the Berkeley Forum, thank you to all of our incredible donors. Because of your help, we were able to surpass our goal of $4000 and raised over $5000! Your generous support will allow our organization to keep bringing some of the best thinkers, leaders, and innovators to campus. The money we have raised will allow our organization to keep growing at the incredible pace we have been since our founding in 2012. Because of your help, we will be able to not only increase the number and quality of our events, but also be able to take on exciting projects that will make our events even more accessible. More importantly, our crowdfunding success will keep our events completely free for UC Berkeley students, staff, and faculty as well as little to no charge for community members. The incredible support we have gotten from all of you will allow us to keep pursuing our mission of furthering Cal’s history and tradition as a place of free speech and intellectual dialogue.
