More than three months remain until the Rio Opening Ceremonies, and your Golden Bears are already leading the way. 

This past weekend, California gymnastics athletes Toni-Ann Williams and Ryan Patterson qualified for the Summer Games. Williams will compete as the first Jamaican Olympic gymnast in the island nation's history, while Patterson is the first South African gymnast to qualify for the Olympics in over five decades. 

Both Toni-Ann and Ryan exemplify so much of what makes Cal a singular institution: competitive excellence, international prominence, and impressive diversity.
