Thank you for helping us raise almost $1000.00 for our Conscious Coffee Festival.
We have some very important and exciting news!!
Our Coffee Festival Director, Christine Tran, will be speaking at the Fair Trade Conference in Pasadena, California on March 22, 2020! We have been chosen by fair trade to speak as a case study for the conference.
Because of your generosity, we have been able to raise over $900! We are 70% of the way from reaching our goal in order to bring an EPIC COFFEE FESTIVAL to Berkeley, California.
We are so incredibly grateful for the support you have given us thus far in our campaign to bring awareness about coffee sustainability and fair trade workers rights! This money is going to social events, reservation space, Fair Trade Conference campaigning, and advertisement/media.
We are continuing to empower students and the local community through our weekly meetings where we educate students about making consumption choices that support economically vulnerable communities susceptible to human trafficking!
Again, a reminder "Ethical sourcing" acts as an umbrella term for labels like Fair Trade, USDA Organic, Rainforest Alliance, and many more. Since it's represented through so many different labels and industries, it can be hard to gain a cohesive understanding of the significance of this term.
Currently, we are in contact with Equator, Califia, 1951, Counter Culture, Bay Roasters, and many other local coffee shops for our festival. We are also getting ready to present our festival idea at the Fair Trade Conference in Pasadena, California. Spread the news, we want you to be there!
One thank you shout-out on our instagram and facebook!
