Founded less than 5 years ago, Aerospace SAE was created to help educate students on principles of aerodynamics and flight. As the premier aerospace-focused student competition team, we design and manufacture remote-controlled cargo planes. Our goal is to prepare our engineers to enter the aerospace industry!
Our year starts in the summer as we begin planning out our timeline and begin initial design. As we start the first semester, we spend our time improving our design through analysis. Eventually, we construct prototype planes and test fly them. During the second semester, we finalize our design and build aircraft for our competition in the spring.

This is our team's 3rd year of competition. We take it very seriously, as during summer vacation, our team's leadership has been meeting regularly to discuss design and season objectives. However, the primary issue hindering our success this year is the lack of funding for our team's trip to the competition, which will be hosted in Texas.
Our current budget breakdown is as follows:
Every contribution is valuable, and you can rest assured knowing your gift will help us take off (quite literally)! Your contribution will directly help sustain the efforts of Berkeley's aerospace engineers as we lay the foundation for a growing aerospace presence on campus. Please make a gift today and help spread the word about our project!
To show our thanks, we'll give you a shout on social media. We'll also list you and a short message of your choice on our website!
With your gift, you will receive a set of Aerospace SAE team stickers. Proudly display your support for Berkeley aerospace anywhere!
