We did it!

Your support this year has been invaluable. Thanks to all of you, we met and exceeded our goal of 15,000 dollars from 150 donors, which will be critical for funding our projects and ensuring STAR thrives in the coming years. Whether you are an alum, family member, or friend of someone on STAR, we would like to express our gratitude and celebrate this milestone with you!

Project Updates

Excalibur: Our solid motor rocket Camelot is our competition vehicle this year for IREC, which will be launching in June of 2025 and representing STAR against the teams from other universities.

TRISTAN: Standing for Thruster-based Reconnaissance Instrument for Scientific Tracking and Atmospheric Navigation, Tristan is the payload vehicle that will be launching on Camelot at IREC 2025.

Universal Intro Project: To teach our new members the fundamentals of rocketry, all those who joined STAR this semester are working on one of four rockets we are launching on December 7th. They’ve been involved every step of the way, learning the manufacturing, simulations, and electronic processes of building a rocket.

LE3: STAR is building its third liquid engine rocket, powered by kerosene and liquid oxygen. We’re extremely excited to continue working on this rocket and prepare it to go to IREC in 2026.The engine will static fire in the coming months
