Dear supporters, 

Our crowdfund campaign has ended and we're happy to report we've raised nearly $7,500 to print and distribute over 500 books to the community. Thanks to all of you, we've also gained the #1 spot on UC Berkeley's past projects page by succeeding our initial fundraising goal by nearly 250%! 

We have some more exciting news! 

• NPR featured us in an article just yesterday! Their facebook post has garnered more than 9k+ likes, 3k+ shares, and 600+ comments and it continues to grow. 
• Also, we learned from Eastwind Books of Berkeley that we sold more than 200 books in one day from folks all over the US (you can order your copy online here or purchase it in store). 
• Lastly, Vietnamese "Nguoi Viet" News also featured us in both English and Vietnamese!

We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for your amazing support. You've contributed to our tremendous success and enabled us to make a remarkable impact in the community. Our project has reached thousands of Americans across the nation and everyone is overwhelmingly supportive. Not only are we preserving Asian cultural wisdom and traditions, we are making it accessible. We hope these centuries of knowledge will continue to be passed down and shared, regardless of race, ethnicity, inter-generational gap or language barrier. We hope it will bring comfort and encourage wellness to all new mothers and their newborn. We hope it will inspire more community care, especially to new moms who might not have access to immediate support after giving birth. And lastly, we hope to inspire future postpartum research as we begin to think about the second phase of our project.

Thanks to our 70 donors, we've raised $5,525 - that's enough to distribute 368 books so far!

Let's break the record and earn the #1 spot on UC Berkeley's crowdfund past projects. Our goal is to reach another 30 donors/gifts by March 31st (when our campaign ends) and to more than double our impact.

As of 3pm today, we've raised $4,960 - that's enough to donate 330 books so far! We continue to receive an outpour of support and we want to sincerely thank everyone.

Eastwind Books of Berkeley also hosted a successful book pre-sale event last week on International Women's Day. So far, we've sold 20 books. Check out the attached pictures. You can now purchase books in advance at asiabookcenter.com or in stores at Eastwind (books will be available starting in April). They are a great gift for all expecting or new mothers! :)

Dear Community,

On Wednesday, March 8th, from 2-4pm, Eastwind Books of Berkeley will celebrate International Women's Day of Resistance with free book raffles, sign making, and a preview of our book From Mothers to Mothers: A Collection of Traditional Asian Postpartum Recipes at Eastwind on 2066 University Ave. Berkeley, CA 94704.

If you are in the area, please drop by! There will also be tasty samplings prepared by our co-editor/chef, Khanh Hoa Nguyen. Dr. Marilyn Wong, co-editor, will also be there, so don't miss out!

Lastly, books are now available for advance purchase at http://www.asiabookcenter.com (publication release date will be in April 2017).

Dear community,

It's been 2.5 days since our campaign launch and as of 2:00pm today, we've reached our $3,000 goal! That's 200 books!

However, the overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic support has inspired us to continue to fundraise well beyond our initial goal.

For every NEW $100 we raise, we will be able to donate an additional 7 books! If we raise $4,000, we'll be able to distribute 267 books. $5,000 = 333 books.

We encourage all new visitors and supporters to continue to donate and share our link if you haven't already.
