After successfully launching Democracy Camp last year, we are excited to announce Democracy Camp 2019!

Because of you, we were able to help undergraduate students get engaged, empowered, and informed about how to make an impact in their communities and beyond. 

This coming spring,we are looking to iterate on Democracy Camp's success, and continuing to enrich student experiences here at Berkeley!

IGS held our very first Democracy Camp program last week, over Cal Spring Break, and we are so happy to say it was a big success! We wanted to send a final thank you to all of our supporters who helped make this happen!  We cannot thank you enough.

Wow! We did it! Thank you all for your amazing support. Not only have we met our stretch goal, we surpassed it! We are thrilled that Democracy Camp, a new IGS/Matsui Center program, will be fully funded in its inaugural year. 

For those who opted to receive perks, we will be working with Democracy Camp students during the program to make short videos and write notes. We really want you to hear from them! 

We can't thank you enough and are looking forward to a successful, fun and productive week of Democracy Camp in March!

We can't believe it, we are only $625 away from our stretch goal!!  Thank you all for your support and contributions. Wow!  We can't stop smiling!  Thanks to you we are only $925 away from our stretch goal and one of only three team projects to exceed the 100% funding mark at this point in the campaign! Go IGS! 

Equally as exciting, the Democracy Camp program is coming together with State Controller Betty T. Yee, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, and many others confirmed to speak. The response from invited speakers has been overwhelmingly positive. Student applications are due tomorrow at midnight!
