Hello Everyone!

The BSR team would like to send one last enormous THANK YOU to all of our supporters for our crowdfunding campaign.  We were able to raise $2745, which is 110% of our original goal!  We are beyond excited to move forward with our new off-campus distribution plan that will help our authors, designers, and editors share their hard work with our greater Berkeley, Oakland, and El Cerrito communities.

In the coming weeks, we will be ordering our new distribution boxes and finalizing their exact locations.  And of course, the BSR team is also currently working hard to put together our Spring 2018 issue, which is due for release in early May.

If you would like to continue following our progress with our latest issue and our new distribution plan (When will the boxes arrive? Where are they going? How many graduate students does it take to pour fifty pounds of sand into the tiny opening inside the distribution box without spilling half of it??), please sign up for our newsletter at berkeleysciencereview.com—right side of the page, halfway down. There is also a place at the top of our website to subscribe to our print magazine if you are outside of our local community but would still like access to our latest magazine each semester.

The Berkeley Science Review Crowdfunding Crew :)

As of Tuesday morning, the BSR has reached (and now tip-toed past!) our goal of raising $2500 in support of our efforts to increase off-campus distribution of our magazine! We are over-the-moon with excitement, and want to extend an enormous THANK YOU to all of our supporters and donors that helped us reach our goal. It has been incredible to see so much support from so many different places—check out the heat map on our Donor Wall if you haven't already!

Of course, we still have ten days left in our campaign, which means the work is not done.  The BSR team is extending our ambition to a new goal of $3500!  The extra $1000 will help us pay for about half of the extra printing costs of the next issue in Fall 2018.

To reach our new goal, we need about 16 more donors.  If you have not donated already, please consider being one of those 16 today. If you have already donated, help us find those 16 folks by sharing our campaign with your friends, family, and social media community.

Hello!

First, a huge thank you to everyone that has helped our crowdfunding so far by donating and/or sharing our campaign.  We have been off to a phenomenal start—our donors helped us reach 26% of our goal by the first official launch day! We are currently 68% of the way there now, which means we need another $800 to get to $2500.  To put that in perspective of our overall goal: you have helped us raise enough money to bring the work of the Berkeley Science Review to four out of six new locations around our local East Bay community.

After such a great start, we want to keep the momentum going through this second week of our campaign, and we need your help to keep doing just that.  If you haven't already, please consider donating today.  If you have already contributed, please take a moment now to share your contribution with your friends and family and encourage others to help us reach our goal.
