There are 6 days left on our 2023 Fall Crowdfunding!
With your help, we are one step closer to finishing Excalibur. We want to thank you for your support throughout the past years of CalSol! The production of Excalibur is coming to an end. We are expecting Excalibur to start running within a few months and have it test drive through California. Excalibur is anticipated to be the fastest and the most efficient vehicle that CalSol has manufactured with its carbon fiber monocoque chassis and low coefficient of drag. We will be unveiling the car very soon to the public! Here is a sneak peek of Excalibur.

Greetings from CalSol!
We would like to thank you once again for your generosity during our Spring 2016 Crowdfunding Campaign. With your help, we were able to win first place at the 2017 Formula Sun Grand Prix in Austin, TX against 17 other teams from around the world with our car Zephyr!
Your donation, in addition to helping us win FSGP this summer, also funded development of our next car, Tachyon, over the past year. We’ve wrapped up Tachyon’s design, and have started to manufacture Tachyon with the goal of racing in the FSGP 2018 and the 2018 American Solar Challenge, which will stretch from the plains of Nebraska to the Oregon coast.
In order to help us fund Tachyon’s build, we’ve launched another crowdfunding campaign this month, with an exciting new goal and a new line of perks. We would greatly appreciate your continued support to help us continue the success and growth we’ve seen since our last campaign. Thanks to your help, Tachyon will become a reality and you will help build a brighter future with CalSol’s future engineers, leaders, and entrepreneurs. Please consider donating and sharing our campaign to bring Tachyon to ASC 2018: tinyurl.com/CalSolTachyon.
Many thanks,
The Members of CalSol

Hello from CalSol, UC Berkeley's Solar Vehicle Team!
Our 30-day crowdfunding campaign ended a few weeks ago, after raising 126% of our goal -- $25,225! We cannot express enough our gratitude to all of our donors and friends who supported our team, contributed to our goal, and shared in our passion.
Quick stats: Raised: $25,225 Days: 30 Donors: 62 Average contribution: $410
So here's a giant THANK YOU from the 100+ students of CalSol! We are excited to get to work on all the awesome projects we have planned, thanks to you. You can continue following our journey on our Facebook page and website, as we compete in the American Solar Challenge this summer, and as we begin building our next-generation vehicle.
In return for your generous support, we are preparing to enact the rewards outlined in the original campaign. Please stay tuned to receive these "perks" by the specified time, and we hope it will help show how much we appreciate your support!
Thank you for "Driving the Future" with CalSol!

In a spectacular turn of events, and thanks to the incredible generosity of the Family, Friends, and Alumni of CalSol and UC Berkeley, we are proud to announce...
We have reached our $20,000 goal!!!
We could not be more grateful for and excited by your overwhelming support, and hope to keep the momentum going! We are striving to raise $5,000 more in the remainder of our campaign, and are confident our community will help us reach this goal and continue Driving the Future.
This display of communal support has invigorated our members -- we can't wait to show you our work that is made possible by YOU. We will continue our 30 Days of CalSol campaign, so you can see the dedicated students you are supporting every day on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/BerkeleyCalSol/)
Drive the Future.
UPDATE! Thank you to everyone who has supported our team so far -- we have now FULLY FUNDED our Carbon Fiber materials and have reached 40% of our goal! It is the strong and lightweight material we build most of our car out of, and thanks to you we can now build the aerodynamic shell of our next generation car!
We are still in need of Li-ion battery cells, solar cells, suspension materials, and printed circuit board manufacturing to build the car of the future! There are 20 days left in our campaign -- if you haven't already, please consider supporting our hard-working students as we innovate the future of clean energy!
