We made it! Thank you for all your support!

February 27, 2017

We reached our goal $3,000 today and we would like to thank you all for donating and sharing our campaign!

Over the past few years we've been able to bring the Berkeley community inspirational weekly events to excite new interest in tech while providing support for students who are already in STEM majors. Thanks to your help, we can keep our events extremely accessible to our committed members!

100% of the money we raise will go directly to putting on more great events, and we are excited to expose our diverse community to incredible ideas and inspirations!

Again, thank you so much for your support! You have allowed us to move one step closer in bridging the gender gap and we really appreciate all your support!

We are almost there! New Milestone Reached!

February 22, 2017

Thanks to your help! We have raised over $2,000 - allowing us to provide our weekly coding lectures that inspire students to develop websites on their own by participating in our FEMTech Share. This is a 10-week web development series on HTML, CSS & JavaScript for students at Cal who have never written a line of code. Over the course of a semester, students build a website from scratch and graduate with the confidence and skill set to create projects of their own.

Our members love our program as it gives them the motivation, resources, and focus necessary to reach their goals. We call the program "Share" to emphasize the community aspect of our vision: through creating a space to share our stories, skills, and excitement to add our voice to the tech space.

Meanwhile, we kicked off our first tech talk for the semester last night with an enthusiastic audience and full room of eager students listening to a representative from Google - Christine Kingsley - to talk about how the company innovates.

Christine's presentation on Google’s 8 pillars of innovation and emphasis on how she would like to see more female CEOs was inspirational and has fueled our drive to reach out further and achieve our goal this semester!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are determined to be the next set of incoming innovators and need your help us bring out more speakers to give us a glimpse into industry and encourage more women in tech.

Please keep spreading the word to #BridgeTheGenderGap, and once again thank you for your support!
